Mr Shamalov and the other government ministers have been under strict orders to deny any responsibility for the ongoing probe into money-laundering allegations from Russia’s biggest oil and gas project.

But today’s address was not as stark as the official response in October, when Finance Minister Sergei Storch was also asked at a press conference at the Kremlin if he or the government were part of any investigation.
His reply: “I think that’s something that has to be investigated.”
The defence ministry press service said Mr Storch’s answer may not be true, and a later statement did not specify where the alleged payment would come from.
Mr Storch told reporters after the presentation of the defence ministry’s explanation that the Kremlin had n에스엠 카지노o knowledge of any such payments of state funds from a private enterprise.
